Course Locations
The Rider Training Institute (RTI) offers motorcycle licensing and skills development courses that are readily accessible from most major centres in Ontario, from Ottawa to St. Catharines.
Riding Basics: M2 Licence Course
The LSM Course runs in conjunction with our 'Riding Basics Training Program' (the same dates and locations) and you ride your own LSM.

Riding Basics - M2 and M2L Class Licence Course Locations
Toronto
The Toronto site is a parking lot located at 11 Polson Street, across the street from the the Docks Entertainment Complex.
Course Runs:
Weekends - Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are taught Thursday evenings 6:30 - 9:30pm before the scheduled weekend.
Weekdays - Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory class on Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 9:30pm

North York
The North York site is a large parking lot located near the DVP and 401 just off of Yorkland Blvd.
Course Runs: Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are held Tuesday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 during the week before the course date.
Classroom Location: The theory portion for the Basic course takes place at The Toronto Public Library at 35 Fairview Mall Dr., Toronto, Ontario M2J 4S4 Map and Directions: Click here for North York RTI site map.

What to Bring: There are no food facilities within walking distance of the site. You may want to pack a lunch, snacks and water.

Mosport International Raceway (north of Bowmanville)
The Mosport site is located north of Bowmanville, at Mosport International Raceway. You will enter the area at Gate 3.Map and Directions: Click here for Mosport site map.
Facilities: On site restroom, on site parking, on site restaurant/snack bar
What to Bring: You may want to pack a lunch, snacks and water.
Course Runs: Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are held Tuesday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 during the week before the course date.
Classroom Location: Classroom sessions held on April 5 (class is held on Monday evening for this week only), June 1 and 29, July 13, 20 and 27, Aug 17, Sept 7 and 21, Oct 5, 12, 19 and 25 will be at the Newcastle Recreation Complex: 1780 Rudell Road, Newcastle. King City
The RTI King City site is located on the historic and scenic grounds of Seneca College. This site is surrounded by corn fields and rolling hills making for a very private and enjoyable atmosphere.
Basic Course Runs: Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are held Wednesday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 prior to the course date.
Classroom Location: The theory portion of for the Basic course takes place in Garriock Hall at the Seneca College campus in King City, and the practical portion in a parking lot on the same campus.

Guelph
The RTI Guelph site is located on the University of Guelph campus parking lot by the main entrance to the University.
Course Runs: Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Theory class is held Friday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 prior to the course date.
Classroom Location: The classroom portion of this course is held at the University of Guelph. Room 332 of the main building at the top of the 'U' shaped driveway, at the western entrance from Stone Road.

Oakville
The RTI Oakville training site is located at 475 North Service Rd East in Oakville at the office of the Canadian Auto Workers of Canada, Local 707.
Course Runs: Saturday and Sundays from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are held Friday evenings 6:30 - 9:30pm prior to the scheduled weekend.
Evenings - Monday to Thursday 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
The evening courses are taught over four consecutive evenings.
Theory class on Friday evening 6:15 - 9:30 the week before the scheduled course
Classroom Location: The classroom is located at Local 707, 475 North Service Road East, Oakville

The RTI St-Catharines site is located on the Brock University campus in St.Catharines.
Course Runs: Saturday and Sundays from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are held Friday evenings 6:30 - 9:30pm prior to the scheduled weekend.
Classroom Location: The classroom will be held in Room J-205 of the Mackenzie Chown Complex at the University.

The training site is located on the campus of Carleton University 1125 Colonel By Drive in Ottawa, Ontario
Course Runs: Saturday and Sundays from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Theory classes are held Friday evenings 6:30 - 9:30pm prior to the scheduled weekend.
Classroom Location: The classroom is located in room 3104 of the Physical Recreation Centre of Carleton University. Carleton is located at 1125 Colonel By Drive.

Riding Strategies (M2X): M Class Licensing
Toronto
The RTI Toronto M2 Exit training and licensing test takes place on the road, over a predesignated route near the downtown and west Toronto area. A morning meeting spot will be arranged with the students.
Weekend Course: One day - Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Theory classes are taught Friday evenings 6:30 - 9:30 pm prior to the scheduled course.
Wednesday course: Starts in May with the theory classes on the Tuesday evening, 6:30 - 9:30 pm prior to the scheduled course.
Riding Strategies (M2X "L"): M"L" Class Licensing
Weekend Courses Only: One day - Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.Theory classes are taught Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 9:30 pm prior to the scheduled course.

Oakville
The Oakville location is not at any particular site for the M 2 X course. The training takes place on the road in the Oakville area. A designated meeting spot is arranged ahead of time with the participating students.
Course Runs: One day - Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Theory classes are held Friday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 prior to the course date.

The RTI Newmarket M2 Exit training and licensing test takes place on the road in the Newmarket area. A designated meeting spot is arranged at the theory class with the participating students.
Course Runs: One day - Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Theory classes are held Friday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 prior to the course date.

The RTI Guelph M2 Exit training and licensing test takes place on the road in the Guelph area. A designated meeting spot is arranged at the theory class with the participating students.
