Who we are: The Rider Training Institute (RTI) is a national not-for-profit association that offers comprehensive motorcycle licensing and skills development training programs throughout locations across Ontario. Motorcyclists from all walks of life, both beginner and seasoned riders alike, choose the RTI as an ongoing partner in developing paths towards long term safe and enjoyable motorcycling careers.

For others, more practical considerations like economy, versatility and a more manageable means of urban transportation. What motivates us may be different, but we all share a similar passion for the experience of motorcycling.

Most motorcyclists will happily admit to being passionate about the sport. After all, it's much more than a practical, efficient and affordable means of transportation. The friends we make, the communities we build and the skills we develop all help to transform the people we are and enrich our daily lives. We share these values with the people around us and that is what the experience of motorcycling is all about.

A sensible approach to learning: We were all beginners too! RTI promotes a results oriented, "building block" approach to skills development. At each stage of the process students are presented with a clear objective, the "hands on" training necessary to achieve that objective and one on one comprehensive feedback from instructors.
Accessibility: Did we mention that we're accessible? RTI offers motorcycle licensing and skills development training programs that are readily accessible from most major centres in Ontario, from Ottawa to St. Catharines. Both classroom and practical sessions are offered at all RTI locations, making us an easy fit for busy commuters.
Opportunities: Cruiser? Sport bike? Can't decide? We can help you figure it out. We've worked hard to create a flexible learning environment that accommodates the needs of individuals like you. But that's just the beginning. At the RTI we recognize that choosing the right bike for you is as important as the skills we teach you to master it. From cruisers, to sport and dirt bikes, every RTI "Riding Basics" training program offers students the opportunity, and encouragement, to ride many different styles of motorcycle.
Our people: We love to ride, and it shows! The care we put into teaching is matched only by the care we take in choosing our people. Partnering with students in developing their skills puts them on the path to long and enjoyable motorcycling careers. All members of the RTI team share a commitment to that responsibility and the long term value we provide. Questions about graduated licensing? We can answer that. Advice on choosing the right bike?
