Riding Basics: M2 or M2L Class LicensingEarn Your M2 LicenceWho is it for? For riders who wish to obtain an M2 licence and a potential insurance discount.Do I qualify? To qualify, you must hold a valid M1 driving permit. In addition to the permit, you will be required to bring qualifying motorcycle riding safety gear. While previous motorcycling experience is not necessary, some bicycle riding experience is an asset. What will I be doing? The "Riding Basics" training program is comprised of 15 hours of practical training as well as 3 hours of in class theory. Where/when is it? This program is offered at multiple locations throughout Ontario (see Locations page for more information) and we provide a variety of bikes at each training site. Training starts in April. Riding Strategies: M or M"L" Class LicensingEarn Your Full M LicenceWho is it for? For M2 class riders who wish to obtain an M licence and a potential insurance discount.A "100cc-230cc" version is also available for M2 class riders who own a motorcycle/scooter between 100cc and 230cc that cannot reach highway speeds in excess of 80km/hr. Do I qualify? To qualify for this training program you must hold an M2 class licence that has been valid for:
What will I be doing? The program consists of one evening of theory, a half day of riding with instructors in real traffic situations on your own motorcycle as well as one hour solo testing. Groups are limited in order to maximize your coaching and instruction. Where/when is it? The programs are offered at multiple locations throughout Ontario (see our Locations page for more details) and begin in early April. Cost: $350 + GST The ratio is only 4 candidates for each instructor to keep your learning intimate and relaxed. Typically, training will take place on either a Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, with the theory class being held on the Tuesday or Friday evening. We have found that this course is enjoyable for the camaraderie of group riding and especially the development of new confidence in your skills.

Attention is spent on group riding, lane position, lane changes, road side stops, signaling, riding through both residential and industrial areas and on 400 series highways.Each riding situation is discussed and practiced throughout the morning to fine tune your skills and awareness. Solo testing is conducted in the afternoon. The road test takes approximately 45 minutes. A passing grade gives you the paperwork for your full M licence. Motorcycle Skills Development (non licensing) Training Programs:Intermediate Rider Training ProgramGet some road experience
For riders who hold an M2 or M licence and have limited road experience. You require your own motorcycle and all the proper riding gear for this 8-hour training program aimed at increasing your comfort on the road. This training program is designed to help you put into practice the skills you learned during your basic training program. Everything from slow speed control to highway riding will be covered.
Intermediate Rider Training In ActionOver a 8-hour period there will be a short classroom session and practical training in real traffic situations. The skills that will be covered include slow speed maneuvers, many aspects of street riding and traffic management. The course will also include an introduction to group riding and highway riding.Groups are limited in order to maximize your coaching and instruction. Course is offered in Toronto and King City Cost: $195+ TAX
Technical Rider Training ProgramAdvance your motorcycle controlPush yourself through some challenging exercises to sharpen your existing skills and gain more control of your machine. This training program combines slow and faster speed manoeuvres that you will use every day for the rest of your riding career. Regardless of what you ride or how long you have been riding, this training program provides a day to sharpen your existing knowledge and ride with more control.Cost: $195 + TAX
This one day course is offered at King City.
Technical Skills Course - In ActionThe day starts with slow speed control riding keyhole and clover leaf patterns utilizing rear brake and clutch control. As the morning progresses riders practice higher speed braking exercises. In the afternoon constant higher speed turns are practiced, followed by collision avoidance.
